UK Trackday FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

A quick guide to your Questions and Answers on No Limits UK Events

1. How experienced are No Limits Trackdays?

We’ve been running trackdays since 1993 and are now the UK’s largest and longest-running trackday company. Each year we organise over 130 European events and 160 UK events — so you’re in very experienced hands!

2. Is it mainly UK riders on these events?

Yes! Around 98% of riders on our European trips are from the UK, with the remaining riders joining us from around the world.

3. Do you use wristbands or tags?

We use colour-coded wristbands to identify rider groups, each with a unique number. For health and safety reasons, these must stay on for the duration of the event. Other ID methods haven’t met our safety requirements.

4. Do you use timing?

We don’t use timing at UK trackdays. On single-day events especially, timing can encourage riders to book unsuitable groups or chase lap times, which isn’t in the spirit of safe and enjoyable track riding.

5. How do I choose the right group?

Choosing your Rider Ability Group is a personal decision and should be done honestly, based on your current skill level and experience.

It’s important to consider:

  • Your experience on track

  • Your familiarity with the bike you’re riding

  • Your knowledge of the circuit

Our safety briefing will cover all the rules and expectations to ensure everyone enjoys a safe day on track.

If your preferred group is full, please don’t book into a different group that doesn’t match your ability. Riding in the wrong group can be dangerous, and knowingly selecting an unsuitable group may result in losing your place without refund or credit.

If you’re unsure which group to book, just get in touch — we’re always happy to help you choose the right one. And if you feel uncomfortable in your group on the day, speak to the Event Administrator and we’ll look into it.

Lower Group
Perfect for first-timers, riders with limited track experience, or those riding at a steady pace.

Middle Group
For riders with more track experience who are riding at a quicker pace than the lower group.

Advanced Group
For experienced track riders, those comfortable at higher speeds, and anyone with race experience.

12. Can I camp?

Most circuits allow camping (except Donington and Bedford).
Please check the circuit access details on our website, as some tracks may only allow access from 7pm if there’s an event the day before.
