Questions and Answers on No Limits Europeans events

 

1.How experienced are No Limits Trackdays?

No Limits has been running since 1993 and is now the UK’s largest and longest-running trackday company. We organise over 130 European and 160 UK events each year, including transport, accommodation, free instruction and of course, top-quality track time.

2. Who attends our European trackdays?

Around 95% of riders on our Euro trips are UK based — with the rest coming from all over the world to experience or events.

3. Who are DG Sport and how do those events differ?

We work with DG Sport for a few events each year (around 8). These are run by their team, but a No Limits rep will always be there to support our riders.

Just a heads up: DG events are timed, garages are chargeable, and no instruction or sighting laps are offered. They also use their own tyre service.

 

4. Can we setup the night before at track

We’ll always try to get early access where possible, but it depends on the circuit. Full details including setup times and sign-on info are sent out via Telegram about a week before.

5. What is Telegram and why do I need it?

Telegram is a secure app we use to keep everyone in the loop, it’s a one-way communication tool so you won’t get bombarded with spam. You’ll get a barcode to join around 8 weeks before departure, and we’ll use it to post updates like delays, sign-on info, and event changes.

 

6. What are stillages and what can I pack?

Stillages (those red double-bike crates) are used for all events with transport. Each rider gets space for 1 bike, plus gear like leathers, helmet, boots, tyre warmers, a small toolkit and kitbag.

 No consumables or personal items (e.g. oils, laptops, etc.)

Need more space? Just contact the office for an extra half-stillage (additional charges apply).

Please note: Customers are responsible for ensuring their bike is within the stillage, safely and securely strapped down and fully wrapped (clear wrap).  Screens should also be removed.

7. Is there a benefit to ordering tyres through No Limits?

Absolutely. Order online or through the office and have them delivered direct to the circuit. You’ll get free fitting, and we’ll even dispose of your old rubber.

8. Do you use wristbands or tags?

We use colour-coded wristbands for group ID, each with a unique number. Health & safety rules mean they must stay on for the event duration. Tags and other ways to identify a rider haven’t passed our safety checks.

9. Is timing used during Euro events?

Yes – timing helps us safely manage groups. Riders are often moved to more suitable groups after the first day.

To protect your insurance, lap times aren’t made public (just ask at admin if you're curious). DG Sport events run their own timing and may move riders earlier.

 

10. What if I’ve booked the wrong group?  

We’ll do our best to get you moved early, but if the event is full, you might have to sit out day one until timing runs.

11. What kind of insurance do I need?

We can't recommend a provider, but your policy must include repatriation and medical cover for private, non-competitive track use.

• RBG (France, Spain and Portugal only)

Please note you will need to show your insurance (in printed version) at sign on.  If you use a UK based insurer you will need to have cover from the date you left the UK to the date you return. You must have a printed copy of your insurance with you at the track.

12. Is my bike insured with you during transport?

Yes – we’ve got you covered! If your bike is in our care (during transit or locked overnight at the circuit), it’s fully insured at market value. We’re the only UK company offering this level of cover.

No Limits use stillages to protect the bike from damage, customers are responsible for loading and securing their bikes and the removing of screens is advised.  If you bike is damaged in transit please report this immediately to the driver and administrator or to Mastermac on return.

13. Do you offer rider instruction?

Yes – we offer free instruction sessions with one of our trained instructors. Just speak to the admin team on arrival to book a slot (first come, first served).

14. How do I complete a carnet?

Use our easy online system – no extra fees! Once entered, you can reuse the info for future events.

Simply login to: https://nolimits-carnet.web.app and enter your details. Please remember that everything you take out, you have to take back and please don’t include consumables. Examples are: small tool box, leathers, helmet, gloves, bike, tyre warmers, paddock stands, back protector, helmet etc

15. Can I drop off my bike at weekends, and where?

No Limits always offers drop off and collections during the weekend (excl Bedale which is normally a Friday).   Swindon location is undercover and loading is normally on a Saturday morning (although this will be confirmed in your joining instructions).  We also offer Bolton, Kent, Bedale and Mallory at an additional cost.  These are pre-bookable dependent on availability.  

16. What type of accommodation do you offer in the package?

We use quality hotels with breakfast included. Packages are based on twin share, but you can upgrade to single or add a non-rider for a small fee. Extra nights available too.

17. Is tyre support available at all events?

Yes – except DG Sport events (they use their own team).

18. Do I need to prep my bike differently for Europe?

Your bike must be in good mechanical condition, safe for track use, and fitted with a brake lever guard (compulsory). 

19. Are there any hidden extras in your pricing?

Nope – we include carnets and shared garages on all No Limits-run events. You can add extras like private garages, room upgrades or local pickup if you want.

20. Is garage space included?

Shared garages are included in all No Limits European events.

Private garages can be pre-booked via the office (charges apply).

DG Sport events have chargeable garage space.

 

21. Will you have a Photographer?

Yes! A professional photographer is on-site for every event. You’ll be able to view and buy images on the final day.

22. Is tea and coffee still a thing?

Of course – free tea and coffee on tap, as always

23.  What clothing and accessories do I need?

You’ll need:

• A one-piece leather suit or two-piece (with 360° zip)
• Full-length leather motorcycle gloves
• Full-length motorcycle boots
• ACU-approved helmet
• Back protector (insert or standalone)
• Brake lever guard

Your bike must be in good mechanical condition and track-ready.

24.  What happens if I don’t want accommodation or bike transport?

No problem. You can book track time only and sort your own hotel and transport.

Our online system allows you to amend your package.

25. Can I book an extra bike space?

Extra bike space can be booked for either a bike or extra equipment starting from £259, please speak to our No Limits office for prices and availability.

26. Is there an age limit on track?

• 14+ (must meet ACU/restricted licence guidelines and proof of ACU licence)
• Must be experienced on the bike being ridden
• Please note you must be 18yrs plus to ride Le Mans

 

27. How do I fuel my bike on circuit?

Some tracks have fuel stations, but you can rent a fuel can from us for €5 (excluding DG events).

 You can’t bring used cans back with you (fire hazard), and we can’t refill them for you — but you can keep them for the duration and refill at a local station.

 

28. What extra costs do I need to consider once booking my event

Car hire is highly recommended

 

Flights not included (ask us for advice on nearby airports)

 

Insurance is mandatory (see point 11)

 

Fuel cans €5 to rent (for use only on-site)

 

Food/drinks not included, though hotel breakfast is

 

Tyres/parts if needed (see point 17)

 

29. Can anyone collect my bike and take it to Swindon?

Yes there are two companies that offer this:

PMR couriers offers a drop and go service in the Suffolk and surrounding areas as well as East London and City airport area.  For more information call John on 07495 749650.  This is an independent service to No Limits and starts from £120 each way, bookable directly with PMR.

Supreme Bike Couriers are offering a stress free drop off and go service in the North of England (Leicester upwards).  

This service will be dropped off at your chosen location Bolton/Mallory or Bedale.

It will include flexible times and meticulously stillage loading.

30. What electrical adaptors will I need?

Most Euro garages will offer the Type E & F sockets, these are standard household plug types, so a normal Euro adaptor is sufficient. You can normally find a handful of the Blue 3-pin Industrial single-phase sockets and the Red 5-pin industrial three-phase sockets which can take more load, these will allow multiple sockets to extended from the one socket.
