Oulton Park is an immensely popular track day venue and the second longest circuit in the country. Only Silverstone Grand Prix is longer. Described as being 'draped' over the Cheshire countryside, the natural undulations and blind crests make this a challenging circuit with no one corner quite as straightforward as it seems. However with a bit of perseverance, you soon find you're linking up the gradients and curves into a flowing whole. Oulton Park lays claim to the steepest banked corner in the UK, with the 11% Shell Oils Corner. Add in the double apex of Druids and the deceptive Lodge, the once tree lined Avenue and the fast Lakeside straight and the enduring appeal of Oulton becomes apparent. Oulton Park has to be one of the most challenging circuits in Europe both feared and revered by even the British Superbike riders. It is unlikely you will master the circuit on your first visit but will be hugely rewarding to ride regardless.
